Sunday 12th September 2010, will see the 25th FOWEY RIVER
TRIATHLON start at 9.00a.m.
This will be a special event, to mark our
25th Triathlon in 27 years. Fowey River Lions Club will strive once again to
make this Triathlon a well organised, safe and challenging event for all
competitors. After the demands of the Triathlon, the prize giving will have a
party atmosphere.
So to all past Fowey River Triathletes, send in your
entry as soon as possible. May we remind you that the maximum number of
competitors is 100. To all who have yet to experience this popular event,
complete the entry form, so you too can say, I have competed in the Fowey River
Triathlon.
It may only be listed as a sprint event, but this is a unique
and testing circular course (an iron man challenge) which starts with a swim
across the river to Polruan, followed by a challenging cycle ride over an
undulating road course to Lostwithiel. The run is on road and cross country,
using some of the county's best hills to take you back to Fowey where you
started. If you wish to set a new record time, you need to finish in under two
hours.
We look forward to meeting you all in September.
